Exploiting refers to the process of identifying the leaks of your opponents. Knowing how your opponents play can considerably influence your decision on which line you want to play. Especially in marginal situations, you can and should use so-called reads in the decision making process. For example, it can be useful to know in which spots the opponent plays weak, when he is aggressive and when he is vulnerable to bluffs – or which reads he himself has on the other players. In order to collect such information, the player does not necessarily have to be dealt into the hand - he should also pay attention to the action when he is not involved.
